PAGE 321

Panel 1: This is a full-page panel, where the other panels all nest inside of it. Looking up the cliff we see the temple at the top of the mesa. Walking along the outside wall are two priests. One says to the other, "Did you hear the Ka'oh Po'oi below?"

The other priest says, "I did. But I have not heard other alarms - "

Panel 2: Wide panel. The two priests turn quickly as they hear sharp whistling sounding out "FWEEEE FWEEE FWEEE."

Panel 3: Wide panel. One priest runs to the edge of the inner wall and shouts down at another priest walking by. The priest shouts, "RING THE CHIMES!"

Panel 4: Small panel. The priest who got the order starts running down the street.

Panel 5: Small panel. The priest runs up a narrow set of stairs between two buildings.

Panel 6: Small panel. The priest makes it to a contraption. It looks like a stand at the base of a tall rod. The stand has an arm extension on it where a rope runs from the top (off-panel) of the rod down through some hoops and ending on a pulling rod. The priest reaches down to the rod.

Panel 7: Wide panel. The priest pulls the rope back several feet. The camera pans back and we see the rope is connected to something that's attached to two tall rods.

Panel 8: Close up on the priest's hands as they let go of the pulling rod.

"The Legend of Jamie Roberts . . . [is] a very engaging story, and when you get a few chapters in you stop and look at the archives again and say 'aw, heck, there's only 12 chapters so far? Darn.' What better recommendation can a serial narrative have? Definitely recommended."
