Panel 1: Wide panel. Jamie (in the lead), Thomas, and Daniel are running at full speed up the steps and past the trees.

Panel 2: Wide panel, we see Thomas and Daniel running into the mouth of the tunnel that leads to Dogona.

Panel 3: Wide panel. At the base of the stairs Jamie and friends just ascended, Ranki approaches. Something shuffles in the bushes nearby. The trees around him are gnarled and drawn in faded lines, as if touched by otherworldly magic.

Panel 4: Ranki glances down at a Nohni, a small critter that leaps out of the bushes. It has a purple racoon-like body and a white mask like a wide-eyed bird, with a large black mouth. Its blue ears are lowered, and its fur bristles as it hisses at Ranki.

It's a critter!

Specifically, it's a Shipuenboj nohni, or a racoon spirit. Shipuenboj (in the language of the comic) literally translates to "tree bandit".
